Lord Corporation To Add Another Building

LORD Corporation is planning a $20 million investment to expand its Cary, NC headquarters campus with a sixth building. Located near US-Highway-1, US-Highway-64, and Gregson Drive, GPS 35.73122,-78.80912, 111 Lord Drive, Cary, NC 27511. The 49,373 sqft office building on 61.69 acres will support an additional 120 high-paying jobs over the next five years. With 329 current Cary employees, the new positions will include jobs in marketing and sales, business development, information technology and more. LORD Corporation moved its worldwide headquarters, including offices and research labs, to Cary's McGregor Park development in 1995. They are a global manufacturer of adhesives and coatings, vibration and motion control, and magnetically responsive technologies. Stalls Medical To Build New Office in Cary

The applicant, Bass, Nixon & Kennedy, Inc., on behalf of the property owners, Jerry and Deborah Stalls, has requested approval of a site plan to develop approximately 22,520 sqft of office, retail, warehousing, and potential handicap-accessible vehicular sales on several parcels of land within the Town Center Area Plan. The property owner proposes to construct a 22,520-sqft building consisting of 12,333 sqft (54%) of office; 3,344 sqft (16%) retail; and 6,843 sqft (30%) of warehousing uses. The proposed building would be located in the center of the site and be surrounded by parking. The applicant has proposed 87 parking spaces, 18 more than the 69 spaces required by the LDO. The additional parking spaces would serve as parking for vehicles being sold in association with the Stalls Medical business.
